The Benchmarking Alliance has conducted annual conferences for outside audiences. These conferences feature national speakers on topics relating to Emergency Department best practices. The conference agenda also features sessions on the concept of benchmarking, so that attendees can develop local approaches to this process. The conference tuition fees have been intentionally kept at reasonable levels, to allow the attendance of teams of hospital managers and ED staff members.

There could not be a better time to focus energy on the Emergency Department, at a time when so many American citizens are relying on the ED to provide highly skilled medical service and major incident community preparedness.
